As the fifth President in Plant’s history, Chris is the first to join the company from the outside. He succeeded John Wilson as the firm’s President and Chief Executive Officer in March 2015. Chris brings more than two decades of experience in the New York construction industry. During his career, he has worked closely with a broad range of clients, including Moody’s, Bloomberg, and Citigroup. His experience includes sales, project management, contract negotiation, and lease consulting and management.

 

Chris obtained his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. He most recently worked for Tishman Construction in New York as Senior Vice President, responsible for development and management of corporate interiors. Prior to joining Tishman in 2011, Chris was a Senior Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank. also in New York. He spent seven years at Structure Tone as a Vice President and Project Executive, and also worked as a Project Manager and Superintendent at Turner Construction.

 

Under Chris’ leadership, Plant has been recognized on Engineering News-Record’s Top 100 Construction Managers at-Risk list for the U.S., and Top 10 renovation contractor in California. The San Francisco Business Times named Chris one of the Most Admired CEOs in 2020, recognized Plant as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in 2021, and as one of the Best Places to Work in 2023.
